What Woodbridge offers

Besides the shopping, Woodbridge has Northern Virginia Community College’s Woodbridge campus next door, Rippon Lodge (the oldest house in Prince William County, open for tours in the summer), and trails at Leesylvania State Park that lead to the Lee family’s ancestral home.

A little history

Woodbridge dates to at least 1731, when Prince William County was formed, and the first county courthouse was built here. It is named for a wooden toll bridge built over the Occoquan River in the 18th century. The Freestone Point Confederate Battery and Rippon Lodge are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Is new construction available?

Yes, in pockets. Beacon Park Towns at Belmont Bay (Miller & Smith) offers 77 four-level waterfront townhomes near the Woodbridge VRE and marina, and the Quartz District (Stanley Martin) is planning more than 1,000 homes, townhomes and garage condos near Potomac Mills. Lake Ridge is mostly established.
